A Note from Keeley

"For the last 20 years, I've had the privilege of serving our community as a Memphis Police Officer. I've seen our challenges up close, but I've also seen the strength, resilience, and determination of the people who call Shelby County home.

I'm running because District 8 deserves a leader who listens, works hard, and puts people before politics. My promise is simple: I'll bring common-sense leadership, stand up for public safety, respect your tax dollars, and always remember who I work for.

I'm not a career politician. I'm your neighbor. And I'm asking for the opportunity to serve our community once again."

Meet the Candidate

A Neighbor First. A Public Servant Always.

Keeley Greer has called Shelby County home his entire life.

Raised in Frayser and later Midtown Memphis, Keeley learned early the values that make our community strong: hard work, personal responsibility, and looking out for your neighbors. After graduating from Christian Brothers High School, he began building a career centered on service; first in the hospitality industry and ultimately in the profession he had dreamed about since childhood.

For the last 20 years, Keeley has proudly served as a Memphis Police Officer, working directly with families, businesses, and neighborhoods across our city. That experience has given him a firsthand understanding of both the challenges we face and the opportunities we have to build a stronger future.

Today, Keeley and his wife Elizabeth proudly call Downtown Memphis home after raising their three daughters in Shelby County. As a husband, father, public servant, and lifelong Memphian, he believes District 8 deserves practical solutions, responsible leadership, and a commissioner who puts people before politics.

That's why he's running: to serve the community he has spent a lifetime protecting.

Where Keeley Stands

Four Priorities. One Goal: A Stronger District 8.

Priority I.

Responsible Spending

Taxpayers deserve transparency and accountability. Keeley will carefully review county budgets, ask tough questions, and ensure taxpayer dollars are invested where they matter most: public safety, infrastructure, and education. Every dollar spent should deliver measurable results for the people of Shelby County.

Priority II.

Stronger Education

Every child deserves the opportunity to succeed. Keeley will work to bring school leaders, county officials, and state partners together around practical, student-focused solutions. By supporting strong classrooms and career pathways, we can better prepare students for success after graduation.

Priority III.

Public Safety & Crime Reduction

Safe communities create opportunity. With 20 years of law enforcement experience, Keeley understands that public safety requires both immediate action and long-term solutions. He will support law enforcement, strengthen public safety programs, and invest in initiatives that help reduce crime and build safer neighborhoods.

Priority IV.

Workforce Development & Economic Growth

Opportunity strengthens communities. Keeley supports expanding workforce training, trade programs, and reentry opportunities that help individuals build stable careers. Strong local businesses, a skilled workforce, and economic growth are essential to creating a brighter future for District 8.
